Prescribed Use
The Active PA Subwoofer Box is for amplification and playback of low-frequency audio signals from audio
devices.
The input may only be connected to the low-level audio outputs from audio devices.
This product is only approved for connection to 220-240V~/50 Hz AC power via an earthed mains socket.
The product may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose to moisture, for example in bath-
rooms or similar spaces.
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and involves other risks, such
as short circuits, fire or electrical shocks.
No part of the product must be modified or converted in any way. Do not open the casing!
Always observe the safety instructions.
This product complies with the national and European legal requirements.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these
safety instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by incor-
rect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty will be void
in such cases.
The exclamation mark symbol indicates important information in the operating in-
structions. Please read through the entire set of instructions carefully before operat-
ing the device. They contain important information on its correct operation.
The lightening symbol in a triangle warns you against unprotected live components or
elements inside the housing or hazardous „live“ connection points. Coming into con-
tact with these components or connection points can be fatal.
Cables connected to such connection points may only be connected by an expert or
you must use ready to connect cables.
The device contains no parts that should be serviced by the user. Therefore, do not
open the device.
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to the product are
not permitted.
• All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this device must be trained and
qualified correspondingly and observe these operating instructions.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• The device is manufactured according to protection class 1. The only permissible voltage source is a prop-
er mains socket (220-240V ~/50-60Hz) of the public supply network with an earth contact.
• Extra care should be taken when using the device for the first time. Please follow these operating instruc-
tions when so doing.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are connected to the active
PA subwoofer box.
• Make sure the mains cable is not squashed, bent, damaged through sharp edges or otherwise subjected
to mechanical strain. Avoid excess thermal stress on the mains cable through excess heat or cold. Do not
modify the mains cable. This may damage the mains cable. A damaged power cable can result in a life-
threatening electric shock.
• If the power cable is damaged, do not touch it. First, switch off the appropriate mains socket (e.g. via the
respective circuit-breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the socket. Separate the mains
cable from the device. Never use the product if the power cable is damaged.
• In order to completely separate the device from the mains, you have to pull the mains plug out of the wall
socket. It is not sufficient to turn off the active PA subwoofer box using the on/off switch.
• Ensure adequate ventilation of the device during operation. Do not cover the ventilation openings with
magazines, blankets, curtains or similar. Keep a minimum distance of approx. 15 cm from other devices.
• This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential dangers
when using electrical devices.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices and never place objects filled with liquid on top of them (e. g.
vases). You run the risk of causing a fire or a fatal electric shock. If this is the case, de-energise the
respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and only then pull the plug-in mains unit from the sock-
et. Disconnect all cables from the device. Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to a spe-
cialist workshop.
• Do not place open sources of fire such as burning candles on the appliance.
• Do not keep any magnetic storage media such as disks, video cassettes or similar close to the Active PA
Box as the magnetic field of the loudspeaker may corrupt the information stored on these media.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your hearing.
• Do not expose the active PA subwoofer box to high temperatures, dripping or spray water, strong vibra-
tions or high humidity.
• Only use the appliance in a moderate climate, and avoid a tropical environment.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous plaything for chil-
dren.
• You should also observe the additional safety instructions in each section of these instructions.
• Pay attention to the applicable regulations and laws e.g. the accident prevention regulations of the
Association of the Industrial Workers’ Society for electrical equipment and utilities and so on, when using
it in commercial or public places. As the operator, you must obtain information from the authorities in
charge and you are responsible for observing the valid laws and regulations.
• If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are not answered
in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or another specialist.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to safely connect it, consult a
trained technician.
