4. Safety Information
b) Electrical Safety
• The only permissible voltage source for the product is a proper grounded mains socket (100-240 V/50/60 Hz) of
the public mains.
• The mains socket must be close to the device and easily accessible.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands. There is the risk of potentially fatal electric shock!
• Check the laser effect for damage from time to time. Do not touch the laser or its connection cable when damaged.
First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the
mains plug from the mains socket. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist
workshop.
• Never place containers containing liquids, e.g. glasses, buckets, vases or plants on the device or in its vicinity.
Liquids may get into the housing and impair electrical safety. This also poses great danger of fire or potentially fatal
electric shock! If this is the case, first power down the respective mains socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and
then pull the mains cable from the socket. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist
workshop.
• When installing the device, make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed or damaged by sharp edges.
c) Laser Safety Notes
• This laser is approved only for the professional area due to the high laser output and the connected danger
of injury. Operation in the private area is not permissible.
• The diversity of regulations and statutory provisions for secure operation of a laser device like this would
exceed the scope of this instruction. Therefore, only the most important safety notes are listed here and
in the following chapters. Always contact a laser specialist before commissioning and inquire about the
applicable provisions at your relevant authority (e.g. at the employers’ liability insurance association).
• This product is equipped with a laser according to laser class 3B pursuant to EN 60 825-1. Never open the device.
Setting and maintenance work must only be performed by a trained specialist who is familiar with the respective
dangers. Improperly performed setting work may cause dangerous laser irradiation.
• The entrepreneur must report them to the relevant accident insurance company and the authority relevant for work
protection (usually the trade supervision) before initial commissioning and designate a laser protection officer.
• The laser protection officer must be present every time this laser device is taken into operation. He must control
and monitor operation.
• All persons who are present in the laser area during operation or during performance of setting work must wear
suitable eye protection.
