Connection and Control Elements
(7) Microphone switch
This switch switches the microphone input on and off.
Switch position ON means that the microphone input is on.
Switch position OFF means that the microphone input is off.
The microphone input and LINE3 input share a level control (LINE3/MIC). Therefore, the LINE3 input
signal is switched off when the microphone input is switched on.
(8) PHONO GROUND clamp
If your record player has its own earth line (usually a thin black cable), you can connect it here. This earth
connection prevents humming distortion.
(9) PHONO IN input
This stereo cinch input can be used to connect a record player with a magnetic pick-up head. The record
player input has an integrated equalizer pre-amplifier.
For channel differentiation, the sockets are marked CH1 for the left channel and CH2 for the right channel.
Only connect record players to this input, never signal sources with higher output levels like
record players, CD players, etc. This would cause overmodulation of the input.
(10) LINE IN inputs
The device has 3 stereo LINE inputs. Devices with a line level, such as CD players, tuners, MP3 players, etc.
can be connected to these inputs.
For channel differentiation, the sockets are marked CH1 for the left channel and CH2 for the right channel.
Do not connect any record player to these inputs. This will cause a mismatch.
(11) LINE OUT outputs
The device has an asymmetric stereo cinch LINE output and a symmetric stereo XLR output. The mixer’s
audio output signal is applied to these outputs. The device that is to be supplied with an audio signal by the
mixer is connected to these outputs (e.g. an audio amplifier).
