Installation/Set-up
The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a spe-
cialist who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations. Repairs,
operation and maintenance of the product may only be carried out by quali-
fi
ed personnel.
Make sure not to place or install the device where it will be exposed to shaking,
vibration, dust, heat, cold and moisture. Furthermore, keep the product away
from strong transformers or motors.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
When installing the product ensure that the mains adapter‘s power cord is not
jammed or damaged by sharp edges.
During installation and servicing, the area below the installation site must be
cordoned off.
The installation surface, or mounting
fi
xture, must be designed so that it can
withstand ten times the loading capacity for at least one hour without perma-
nent damaging deformation.
It is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety
restraint, which is separate from the proper mounting supports, when it is
installed in an elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part of the instal-
lation should be able to fall down.
Observe all the relevant regulations when mounting/installing the device.
Keep a free area of 15 cm around the housing to ensure unhindered heat
dissipation. Otherwise, the laser may overheat.
Installation approval:
Before using the product for the
fi
rst time and after any signi
fi
cant modi
fi
cations, the installation
(including the electrical connections) must be checked by a specialist.
An annual check by a technical expert is required.
At least every four years, an acceptance inspection must be carried out by a technical expert.
The laser is installed at the mounting surface with the integrated mounting bracket.
• For the installation, a screw is tightened in the mounting surface with its head protruding a few
millimetres from the surface. The laser is hung up on this screw head via the corresponding
borehole on the bottom side of the mounting bracket.
• The installation should never be performed as a free-swinging system.
• Secure the device with installation material that is compatible with the fastening surface and
suitable for carrying the weight of the laser device.
• For installations at an elevated position, secure the laser with an additional suitable safety
restraint cable or net. The safety restraint cable or net must be able to support the light effect
device in the event of a fault in the main support system.
• After fastening the device, adjust the desired inclination angle using the mounting bracket.

(4) STROBEFLASH CONTROLLER
(5) Functional switch 1-2-3
(6) Microphone
(7) Laser outlet -

Connecting the Mains Adapter
The mains socket to which the laser is connected must be nearby and easily
accessible, so the device can be quickly isolated from the mains power sup-
ply in the event of a fault.
Do not let the mains cable of the mains adapter come into contact with other
cables.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains
voltage can give severe electric shocks, which can be fatal.
Do not leave the cables trailing free; route them in an orderly and professio-
nal way to prevent accidents.
• Plug the enclosed mains adapter‘s low-voltage plug into the DC 5V (3) connecting socket on
the side of the device.
• Plug the mains adapter into a wall socket.
Operation
• The ON/OFF switch (2) is used to switch the device on or off.
• With the functional switch 1-2-3 (5), the operating mode required can be selected:
Functional switch 1-2-3 (5)
1
Flashing laser effect.
Use the STROBOFLASH CONTROLLER (4) to set the
fl
ashing frequency.
2
Music-controlled laser effect.
The laser is switched on and off with the beat of the music. The microphone (6) is
used as controller.
Use the MOTOR CONTROLLER (1) to set the rotational speed of the laser effect.
3
Permanent laser effect.
Use the MOTOR CONTROLLER (1) to set the rotational speed of the laser effect.
Handling
• Never switch the laser effect device on and off at short intervals. This will considerably reduce
the working life of the device.
• The device is not suitable for continuous use. Pauses in operation increase the working life of
the product. We recommend to let the laser cool down after a two-hour operating time before
you put it into operation again.
• Never switch on the device immediately after it has been taken from a cold into a warm envi-
ronment. The condensation that forms might damage the device.
• Allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it on. Wait until the condensation
has evaporated.
• To ensure suf
fi
cient ventilation, never cover the device. In addition, the air circulation must not
be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains or similar items.
Maintenance
Before cleaning the laser, disconnect it from the power supply (disconnect
the power supply unit).
Make absolutely sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or dry brush.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface
of the case.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in
the household waste!
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory
regulations.
