AD-001 LINE I/O USB adaptor

Intended use
1.
The adaptor is designed to digitize analogue audio signals and send them via USB interface to a computer.
This product can also take care of the reverse action and convert digital audio data into analogue signals
through the USB interface of a computer. This way it can be used as an external sound card.
The adaptor is also suitable for use with turntables with a LINE output. But turntables with a phono output are
not supported.
The adaptor is powered through the USB interface. It can only be used in closed rooms, and therefore not
outdoors. Any contact with humidity, such as in damp areas, should always be avoided.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them.
Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Installation of software

You can record audio using the included audio recording software. Install the software, following the
•
instructions of the installation programme. You can find further information on the software functions in the
help menu and in the operating instructions of the software. These are available at the following links:

The adaptor can of course also be used in conjunction with any other audio recording software. You do not
•
necessarily have to use the supplied programme.
Operation

Only connect devices with the same analogue connections to the audio jacks.
If your devices do not have the required input or output jacks, you should use a suitable
adapter.
Only use suitable cinch cords for the wiring. If in doubt, consult an expert.
Carefully read the input and output connection and/or compatibility section in the relevant
operating instructions of the devices that are to be connected to the adapter.
Failure to comply with these instructions can lead to damage to the adaptor or any
connected devices.
Turn off the audio devices prior to connecting them to the connections sockets, and only
turn them back on after you have completed all the connections, and have double checked
them.
Stick to the same procedure when changing the connection to any of the devices.
Connection for audio recording
Ensure the IN / OUT switch on the side of the product is set to IN.
1.
Connect the product to a free USB port on your computer.
2.
Make sure that the audio device is switched off.
3.
Using the cinch (RCA) cable, connect the USB adaptor to the audio output of the audio device.
4.
Switch on your audio device.
5.
Start the required audio software and, in its settings, select the adaptor as the audio source.
6.
Connection when used as an external sound card
Ensure the IN / OUT switch on the side of the product is set to OUT.
1.
Connect the product to a free USB port on your computer.
2.
In the control panel of your operating system, select the adaptor as the sound card.
3.
Make sure that the audio device is switched off.
4.
Using the cinch (RCA) cable, connect the USB adaptor to the audio input of the audio device.
5.
Switch on your audio device. You can now output audio signals from your PC via the audio device.
6.
After use, disconnect the adaptor from the audio device.

Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
