Variable Valve Timing. Standard on all CX-9s. An integral part of the CX-9’s
3.7-liter V6, variable valve timing maximizes low-end torque and high-rpm power
for more responsive, fuel-efficient performance.
Active Torque Split All-Wheel Drive. Available on all CX-9s. Mazda’s
computer-controlled all-wheel-drive system continuously monitors wheel speed
and engine data in order to respond to changes in road conditions and weather—
and maintain an ideal balance of front/rear torque between 100:0 and 50:50.
