Protect the device from other heat
sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero tem-
peratures, persistent moisture, wet
conditions and impacts.
■
Never place heavy objects on the
base station or the connecting cable.
■
Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.
PUTTING INTO
OPERATION
Please Note!
■
Do not place the device below kitch-
en wall units or similar cupboards.
The rising steam could cause damage
to them!
■
Lay the connecting cable in such
a way that it does not become
squashed or bent and does not come
into contact with hot surfaces.
1. Place the base station (

) on the
kitchen unit or another suitable work
surface. Ensure there is suffi cient
clear space on all sides (at least 20
cm to the sides and 50 cm above).
2. Connect to a plug socket that is
properly installed. The mains volt-
age must be the same as that stated
in the technical data for the base
station.
The plug socket must be readily ac-
cessible so that the connection to the
mains can quickly be isolated.
Before Initial Use
Clean the kettle thoroughly before you
fi rst use it to remove any possible pro-
duction residues. To do this, fi ll it with
water up to the
MAX
marking, allow it
to boil and then pour away the water.
Perform this process at least twice.
USE
Please Note!

Make sure that the lid is closed cor-
rectly.
■
Do not operate without water
.
1. Press the button for opening the lid (

2. Pour in fresh water (note the
MIN
/
MAX
marking).
3. Close the lid (

).
4. Place the kettle on the base station (

).
5. Press down the On / Off switch (

).
The operating lamp lights up and the
device starts the heating process.
As soon as the water has boiled, the
device switches off.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
■
Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents or cleaning pads to
clean the device. These may damage
the surfaces.
•
Wipe down the kettle and base sta-
tion (

) with a damp cloth if necessary.
•
Remove limescale deposits regularly
(6 – 8 weeks) with a standard descal-
ing agent to constantly maintain the
quality of the water and the effi ciency
of the kettle.
•
Keep the device ready to operate and
check it regularly for any damage.
