Assembling and Setting Up
the Trailer Spare Tire Carrier

The trailer tire will be mounted
with two Round Head Bolts (3).
One of the
Bolts will be inserted in one of the two
uppermost holes (depending on whether
rim has 4 or 5 lug holes). The other
Bolt will be inserted in the hole in lower
portion of the Front Plate
. Secure both
Bolts using Nuts (4) torqued to 40 ft.Lbs.
6. Periodically check the Trailer Spare Tire
Carrier. Check that Bolts are tight and check
that there are no cracks or damaged parts.

1. Refer to photo above and to the Assem-
bly Diagram at end of this manual.
2. The Trailer Spare Tire Carrier will be
placed on the side of the trailer tongue.
Select the desired location based on the
instructions and warnings on page 3 of this
manual.
Note: The Tire Carrier should be mounted
so that the front plate (which will hold the
tire) is positioned higher than the plate which
will be attached to the trailer’s tongue (see
Assembly Diagram).
3. Make sure the empty trailer has all tires
surface. Raise the trailer tongue and sup-
port the tongue in two places (on each side
of tongue).
4. Position the Carrier Base (1) on the
outside of trailer tongue; the two Mounting
Brackets (2) will be on the other side of
trailer tongue. The Mounting Brackets will
be secured to Carrier Base using the four
Hex Bolts (5), Washers (6), Spring Lock
Washers (7) and Nuts (8) - see Assembly
Diagram.
Warning: Choose the closest mounting
holes on Mounting Brackets and Carrier
Base Plate against trailer tongue if the
height of your trailer tongue is less 5”,
instead of using the farest mounting holes.
Tighten Nuts to 40 ft.lbs.
5. The trailer spare tire will be mounted on
the Front Plate. It is recommended that a
helper assist in lifting and positioning the
spare tire.
Make sure the tire’s rim is cen-
tered on the Front Plate before
