1. General:
The eMAX-LP1502 is an IP Network-based Intelligent Area Controller that provides local transaction
processing & decision making, transaction/event reporting, and local database storage for the eMAX
hardware platform and the Maxxess eAXxess and eFusion Access Control Systems. The eMAX-
LP1502 provides two (2) Card Reader interfaces for the control of two physical barriers.
The eMAX-LP1502 Host communication is via the on-board 10-BaseT/100Base-TX Ethernet port, or
the Micro USB port (2.0) with an optional Micro USB to Ethernet adapter.
Each Reader Port of the eMAX-LP1502 can accommodate a reader that utilizes TTL/Wiegand
(D1/D0), TTL/Magnetic Stripe (Clock/Data), F/2F Protocol (standard or supervised), or 2-wire RS-
485 device signaling such as OSDP, and also provides tri-state LED control, and buzzer control (one
wire LED mode only). Each Reader Port, if configured for 2-wire RS-485 OSDP Readers, can
support two (2) multi-dropped Readers in an IN/OUT Reader configuration, resulting in the support
for up to four (4) Readers.
The eMAX-LP1502 provides four (4) Form-C Contact relay outputs which may be used for door
strike control or alarm signaling. The relay contacts are rated at 5A @ 30Vdc resistive on the
Normally-Open (N/O) contacts, and 3A @ 30Vdc resistive on the Normally-Closed (N/C) contacts,
dry contact configuration. Eight (8) inputs are provided that may be used for monitoring the door
contacts, exit push buttons and alarm contacts. Input circuits may be configured as unsupervised or
supervised.
The eMAX-LP1502 requires 12 to 24 Vdc for power.
