Wireless Mode

AP
– access point: modem acts as WiFi “server”

– modem uses WiFi as WAN connection

– use “peer-to-peer” mode (no AP)

Repeater
– router connects to the same SSID as the one it broadcasts.
This ‘extends” the range of the WiFi network, but introduces additional
latency and constrains bandwidth

– as per repeater, but also bridge WiFi network to wired
LAN network.
