CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS:
•
Check liquid level in battery.
Before attempting to charge the battery remove vent caps and check liquid level (not re-
quired for sealed lead acid and maintenance free batteries). Top up with Matson
distilled water if need and replace vent caps
•
Charging a battery not in a vehicle:
Ensure 240Volt power supply is OFF.
Connect black (negative) charging clamp to negative battery post.
Connect red (positive) charging clamp to positive battery post.
Turn on 240Volt power source.
Set battery type. (Chemistry selection)
Select charge rate. (Amperage output)
•
Charging a battery in a vehicle:
Ensure 240Volt power supply is OFF.
Position input cable and output cable away from risk ie: fans, bonnet or door
Most vehicles in Australia are negative earth (black cable to chassis of vehicle)
In this case connect red (positive) charge clamp to positive terminal of battery
Connect black (negative) charge clamp to chassis of vehicle away from any moving
parts
Turn on 240Volt power source
Set battery type. (Chemistry selection)
Select charge rate. (Amperage output)
•
Disconnecting the charger:
Ensure 240Volt mains supply is turned off and removed from power socket
Remove black (negative) charger clamp from battery post or vehicle chassis first
Remove red (positive ) charger clamp from battery post next.
