Matrox M-Series – User Guide
If your monitor has a DVI connector, use a
DisplayPort to DVI-D adapter (sold
separately) to connect your monitor cable to
the DisplayPort connector.
Your Matrox card is now installed. Restart your computer and install your Matrox software (
“Installing your Matrox software”, page 20

Connect the first monitor
If your monitor has a DisplayPort
connector, use a mini DisplayPort to
DisplayPort adapter included with your
product to connect your monitor cable to
the mini DisplayPort connector labeled

on
the bracket of your Matrox card.
If your monitor has a DVI connector, use a
DisplayPort to DVI-D adapter (sold
separately for M9138 products) to connect
your monitor cable to the mini DisplayPort
to DisplayPort adapter.

WARNING:
To avoid damaging the
DisplayPort connector on your DisplayPort
monitor cable or on your graphics
hardware, carefully remove the DisplayPort
cable by pressing the latch on the top of the
DisplayPort connector while removing the
connector.
