ATA211. Can I still surf the internet when ATA211 is power down?
Ans.
No. You can not surf Internet if ATA211 is power down. You must power ON the ATA211 to enable
Internet surfing on your PC. Else, connect the PC directly to the internet.

I am using the ATA211 to make VoIP calls and surf internet. I have connected my PC to LAN port of
ATA211. Can I still make VoIP calls when my PC is shut down or not connected?

Yes. You can still make VoIP calls when your PC is shutdown or not connected.

My Internet Service Provider (ISP) supports only PPPoE for internet services. Can I use ATA211 with my
ISP?
Ans.
Yes. You need to configure PPPoE User-Id and PPPoE Password in ATA211 provided by your ISP.

My internet Service Provider (ISP) supports only DHCP to provide internet services. Can I use ATA211
with my ISP?
Ans.
Yes. You need to enable the DHCP client in ATA211.

My internet service provider (ISP) provides me only dynamic IP address. Can I use ATA211 to make VoIP
calls and surf Internet at the same time?

Yes. Enable DHCP or PPPoE client in ATA211 as used by your ISP to provide internet services.

I do not have PC to access Web Jeeves for configuration. Can I change the IP address and subnet mask
of LAN/WAN port?
Ans.
Yes. You can change the IP address and subnet mask of LAN/ WAN port of ATA211 if you do not have
PC to access Web Jeeves. You need to issue commands from the FXS port to change the IP address
and subnet mask.

I do not have PC to access Web Jeeves for configuration. Can I change the internet connection type of
ATA211 to DHCP or PPPoE or Static?
Ans.
Yes. You can change the connection type by issuing command 37-#* from the FXS port of ATA211 and
configuring necessary parameters for the new connection type.

I do not have PC to access Web Jeeves for configuration. Can I know whether ATA211 is registered with
ITSP or not?
Ans.
Yes. You can know the status of your SIP registration using LED provided on the enclosure of ATA211 or
by command to display registration status on the Phone connected to FXS port.

I have connected my PC to LAN port of ATA211. But, I am not able to access the Web Jeeves for
configuration.
Ans.
Please ensure that the IP address of LAN port of ATA211 and IP address of your computer should be in
same subnet to enable Web Jeeves from your computer. If both the IP address is in the same subnet,
check for any error in the Ethernet cable which connects your computer to LAN port of ATA211.

Can I upgrade my ATA211 for new firmware?
Ans.
Yes. You can upgrade the ATA211 for new firmware. To upgrade ATA211 for new firmware, please refer

Can I upgrade the ATA211 for new firmware remotely?
Ans.
Yes. If you know the public IP address of WAN port of ATA211, you can use the FTP server of ATA211 to
upgrade the firmware. Refer

If I forgot the password, can I still use the Web Jeeves for configuration?
Ans.
Yes. But you need to set the password value to factory default.
