You can also use the parallel stop if you wish to
plane steps.
Secure the parallel stop to the left-hand side of the
plane (B5).
Secure the step depth knife to the right-hand side of
the plane (B6).
Set the step width using the parallel stop.
Set the step depth using the step depth knife (B7).
TIP: Do not set a chip depth of more than 2 mm and
plane the workpiece until you reach the required
step depth.
Service and Maintenance
- Before performing any work on the equipment, pull
the power plug.
- Use a damp cloth to clean the plastic elements. Do
not use any cleansers, solvents, or pointed objects.
- Regularly clean any dust that is stuck to the ventila-
tion openings and moving parts with a soft brush or
a paint brush.
Changing the blades
Remove the plug before carrying out any work on
the planer.
Important: The planning blades are sharp and there
is a risk of injuring yourself.
- The carbide metal planning blades have two blades
and can be reversed when necessary.
- They must not be reground. If both sides are blunt,
both blades must be replaced.
Removing the blades (B2)
- Undo the mounting screws with an Allen key.
- Loosen the clamping element (7), giving it a gentle
tap with a block of wood if necessary.
- Push the planing blades (7) sideways out of the
guide using a piece of wood.
Fitting the blades (B2)
- Clean the blade guide and blades.
- Push the planing blade (6) into the groove and
align it flush to the side edge of the rear base.
- Secure the clamping element (7). Check that the
screws are tight.
- Turn the blade head (11) by hand and check that it
turns freely.
Important
Always change both planning blades. This will ensu-
re that the planer always removes a uniform, precise
chip thickness.
Replacing the drive belt
Remove the plug before carrying out any work on
the planer.
- Unscrew the belt cover (5).
- Pull off the drive belt (12) and replace it with a new
belt.
First place the belt around the small drive wheel and
then push it over the large belt pulley whilst turning
the drive wheel.
- Fit the cover and secure it.
Noise level
The volume level may exceed 85 dB(A) when you use
the planer. It is therefore essential that you wear ear
protectors. (pictogram)

Repairs
Only use accessories and spare parts recommended
by the manufacturer. If the equipment should fail
some day in spite of our quality controls and your
maintenance, only have it repaired by an authorised
electrician.
Environmental Protection
Do not simply dispose of the equipment, accessories
and packaging in the rubbish bin, but bring it for
environmentally sound recycling.
The small effort involved in this is for the benefit of
our environment.
