ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

 

WARNING: 

Remove the random orbit sander from the carton, and examine 

itcarefully. Do not discard the carton or any packaging material until all parts 

have been examined.

 

WARNING: 

 If any part of the sander is missing or damaged, do not plug the 

sander in until the damaged part is repaired or replaced.

 

WARNING: 

 To avoid injury, ALWAYS turn the switch to the OFF position and 

disconnect the random orbit sander from the power outlet before installing or 

changing the abrasive discs or dust bag attachment.

INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE ABRASIVE DISC 
To install:

1.    Remove all sanding dust or dirt from the sanding pad.
2.    Align the holes on the abrasive disc with the holes in the sanding pad, 

making sure it is centred and that the edges are aligned with the edges of 

the sanding pad.

Note: 

The holes in the abrasive 

disc must line up with the holes in 

the sanding pad in order for the 

dust collection system to function 

properly.
3.    Press the abrasive disc to the 

pad.

To remove:

•    Peel the disc off the sanding pad.

INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE DUST BOX
To install:

Put the dust drawer back into the dust box. Close the dust box door, making 

sure the released button is engaged securely

To remove:

Press the release button of the dust box door in order to open the door fully 

(Fig. 3). Pull out the dust drawer and empty it (Fig. 4).

DUST-SEALED ON/OFF ROCKER SWITCH

This random orbit sander is equipped with an ON/OFF rocker switch that is 

located on the front of the handle.
1.    To turn the sander ON, push the I side of the rocker switch.
2.    To turn the sander OFF, push the O side of the rocker switch.

SPEED SELECTOR

Use a practice piece of material to determine the right speed for each job. 

Vary the speed in order to find the best speed for the accessory that you are 

using and the job to be done.
