Battery charging
The battery in your new tool is not fully charged! First, read the safety guidelines, and then
follow the instructions in the sections “Important charging notes” and “Charging the battery.”
Important charging notes:
• Longest life and best performance can be obtained if the batteries are charged at normal
room temperature.
• While charging, the charger will normally become warm.
• If the batteries do not charge properly, verify the current at the outlet by plugging in a lamp or
other tool.
• The tool should be recharged when it fails to produce sufficient power on jobs that were
previously done easily. Do not continue to use the tool under these conditions. Repeat the
charging procedure.
• Unplug the charger from the power supply before disconnecting it from the tool. Unplug the
charger before attempting to clean it.
• Battery life depends on usage, storage temperature and time.
• The charger is intended to be used in a vertical or floor-mounted position.
NOTE:
Do not charge tool when temperature is below 5°C (41°F) or above 40°C (104°F).
