REMOVING BITS
To remove a bit, simply pull it out of the
magnetic hex drive.
BIT RETRACTION AND ENGAGEMENT
CONTROL
This swing drill is equipped with a dual hex
drive head that allows you to insert one
drill bit into each hex drive. This provides
convenient switching between two different
drill bits without changing the bit as you
would have to in a single hex drive head.
You can also install a drill bit in one hex
drive and a screwdriver bit in the other hex
drive for easy transition from drilling to
driving screws.
Slide the bit retraction and engagement
control lever (1) upward to extend the bit
(2) in the upper hex drive (Fig. 14). This
action will also engage the upper hex drive
system.
Slide the bit retraction and engagement
control lever (1) downward to extend the
bit (3) in the lower hex drive (Fig. 15). This
action will also engage the lower hex drive
system.
NOTE: If the bit retraction and
engagement control lever stops mid way
through the transition between the hex
drives, give the trigger switch a quick pull
to align the gears. When the gears are
properly aligned, the lever can be moved
to its new position to complete the
transition between the hex drives.
