SPIRIT LEVEL
The drill is equipped with a dual reading
horizontal/vertical level to assist in keeping
the drill “level” while drilling horizontal and
vertical holes.
The horizontal level (1) is located in the top
of the drill housing (Fig. 10). The vertical
level (2) is located on the rear of the drill
housing.
To maintain a horizontal drilling position,
hold the drill so the horizontal level bubble
(3) is centred in the level indicator circle (4)
(Fig. 11). To maintain a vertical drilling
position, hold the drill so the vertical level
bubble (5) is centred in the level indicator
circle (6) (Fig. 12).
INSTALLING BITS
WARNING:
Never have your finger
on the trigger switch while installing or
removing bits. Serious injury may
result.
WARNING:
Never attempt to use
any bits that do NOT have a 1/4"
hexagonal shank. Any other bit shank
will not be held securely and may cause
serious injury.
This drill is equipped with two magnetic
hex drives that accept bits with a 1/4"
hexagonal shank.
To install a bit, simply insert a bit (1) with a
1/4" hexagonal shank into the magnetic
hex drive (2) (Fig. 13).
NOTE: Push the hexagonal shank fully
into the magnetic hex drive until the
magnet holds the bit firmly in place.
