INSTALLING DRILL BITS

WARNING:
Failure to properly
insert the drill bit could cause the drill
bit to be thrown from the chuck,
resulting in possible serious injury or
damage to the chuck.
REMOVING BITS
1. To open the keyless drill chuck, grasp
and hold the chuck body and rotate it
in a counter-clockwise direction until
the chuck jaws open wide enough to
release the bit.
2. Remove the drill bit.
BUBBLE LEVELS
This drill is equipped with two bubble
levels to assist you in keeping the drill
“level” while drilling horizontal and vertical
holes.
The horizontal level (1) is located in the top
of the drill housing (Fig. 13).
1. To maintain a horizontal drilling
position, hold the drill so the horizontal
level bubble (2) is centered between
the level indicator lines (3).
The vertical level is located in the rear of
the drill housing (Fig. 14).
2. To maintain a vertical drilling position,
hold the drill so the vertical level
bubble (4) is centered in the level
indicator circle (5).
