.calmConfig_LogFile
: Set LKFS logging preferences, such as the total data entries to log (allowing you to limit
the data written to a USB flash drive), the data configuration of the LKFS file (for importing to Excel, MATLAB,
etc.). You may also set LKFS monitoring windows and delays to more accurately judge your specific content in
cases where dialogue or sound follows specific timing.
Also, you can set the system to send all LKFS log data to an FTP server (as opposed to a USB flash drive with
limited memory) by entering the server address and your login information. Consult your IT department for
specific settings.
.calmConfig_MixPreset
: Allows for configuration of up to 20 different presets with specific channel gain settings
based on how LKFS is monitored. For instance, to compensate for audio channels that are quieter than dialogue,
gain settings can be applied to those specific channels. In this example, preset 5, “StereoSAP1”, has a gain
applied to channels 5 and 6. In Hexadecimal notation, a value of x0030 is equivalent to 0000 0000 0011 0000.
This represents a change in the 5
th
and 6
th
number (counting from the left).
.calmConfig_IM
: Set LKFS alarms (or disable) for each input module slot, and the desired LKFS calculation
method (selecting specific audio channels). Additionally, you may set your own LKFS threshold values (set to -24
LKFS by default) and select which preset channels to use in the LKFS calculation. The LKFS threshold value will
be shown as a red LED bar when monitoring LKFS via the front panel.

Power Input Connector
Use only the included power supply to power the AR-DM3X-X audio monitor. The ARDM-3X monitors use Power
Supplies with 4-Pin XLR connectors providing 24 VDC.
USB Port
The USB port is used to upgrade firmware to the AR-DM3X-X audio monitor. Additionally, the USB port can be used to
configure LKFS settings with USB memory stick.
Contact Marshall Electronics regarding available firmware upgrades and instructions.
I/O Module Slots
Four slots are available for a variety of I/O modules. See
page 13
for available modules.
Ethernet Port
The Ethernet port is used to configure several aspects of LKFS monitoring. Connecting the Ethernet port to your
network provides the ability to get current time from a NTP server, to export LKFS data to an FTP server or send
emails with LKFS data. Contact Marshall Electronics for further information on this feature.
