Sharing System Information
Marport offices only: You need to share details about the system so that Marport can keep record
of systems installed.
Procedure
1. Go the the DealerWeb web page: https://dealerweb.marport.fr/Default.aspx .
2. If you do not have a page for the vessel on which the system is installed, you need to create one:
go to
Customers/Vessels > Add Vessel .
3. Click Receivers > List .
4. From the top right corner, enter the receiver serial number in the search box, then click it from
the list.
5. In the part SYSTEM , click Add to add information about the system you installed, for example
details about the computer used, Scala/Scala2 version…
6. In the part Comments , click Edit to add any additional information (type of fishing, types of
hydrophones...).
Creating Computer Backups with Time Machine
You can create backups of the Mac computers using Time Machine.
Once the computer is configured, you can use Time Machine Apple built-in application, to create
backups of the Mac computers.
When you have a backup, you can transfer it to a new computer. The new computer will have
the exact same configuration as the first computer. This will reduce the configuring time of new
computers and keep consistency among the systems.
Backups are saved on an external hard disk. Creating a backup takes about 10 minutes and
transferring it to a new computer takes about 30 minutes (when using the recommended hard
drive).
