Caution
Ensure that all electric power is turned off before carrying out any
work. The electrical connections may only be conducted by a sui-
tably qualified person and must comply with the locally applicable
regulations. If a fireplace with chimney is used, care must be taken
that sufficient air can enter the room being ventilated.

Install the retaining foot in close proximity to the room to be
ventilated, e.g. on a joist.
Remove cover (B), feed the power cable through and connect
according to the circuit diagram (C). Secure the power cable
with the mains lead clamp (D) and replace cover (B).
Place the fan on the retaining foot and click into place. Arrows
on the casing indicate the fan‘s direction of flow. Since used
air is usually directed away from its source to the outside,
exhaust air operation is to be recommended in almost all
instances.
Using a clamp on each side, fix the flexible ducting to the fan.
In order to gain maximum performance from the unit, the total
length of the pipe should not exceed 3 m. Insulate the air duct
if it passes through unheated areas.

Glue the foam tapes all around the sections (A).
Remove the cover (B).
Feed the power cable through as shown in the illustration,
connect according to circuit diagram (C) and secure with the
mains lead clamp (D).
Replace cover (B).
Install an air duct pipe with internal diameter of 100 mm in the wall
or ceiling. For wall installation make sure the duct runs to the outside
with a slight gradient, for ceiling installation you must insulate the air
duct if it passes through unheated areas.
Slide the fan into the air duct. Arrows on the casing indicate the
fan‘s direction of flow. Since used air is usually directed away from
its source to the outside, exhaust air operation is to be recommended
in almost all instances. Additional protection against moisture and
contact with moving parts can be provided by mounting a protective
grill.
