2.2 Taking a sample

Position the sampling tube,

non‑sampling end first, into the

pump inlet.

NOTES

The sampling arrow should

be facing towards the pump.

Select the sample volume required

by aligning the volume indicator

(red dot) on the plunger with the

pump shaft alignment mark.

Pull the plunger handle slowly and

evenly until it latches at half-

stroke or full-stroke (50 or

100 mL). This should take

between 5 and 10 seconds.

Step [2]: Selecting 50 mL volume.

Step [2]: Selecting 100 mL volume.

Step [3]: Pulling out the plunger.

Step [1]: Inserting the tube for sampling.
