INTRODUCTION
Mare R30M is a rigid inflatable motor boat with open design and an inflatable collar, i.e.
tube. Good buoyancy and an elastic board make the boat a practically unsinkable mobile
water craft which is well suitable for various purposes and circumstances. The purpose-
designed silhouette of the hull and the high-quality manufacturing are backed by teamwork
and experience in fibreglass plastic technology. The full-laminate plastic body of variable
thickness is made of polyester resin reinforced with E-glass layers, using the hand lay-up
technology. The gel-coat outer surfaces on modified isoftal polyester provide the boat with
long-lasting resistance to weather conditions and also low water absorption. The boat shell
with a bottom in original trimaran design is filled with TRIPOR 227 closed-cell two-
component rigid-cured foam of low specific gravity. The transom with special honeycomb
panel reinforcement has a place for an outboard motor with a normal shaft.
The floater tube running around the boat is made of VALMEX® high-quality material tested
for air- and watertight properties and resistant to mechanic loads, liquids, oils, UV radiation
and temperature extremes. The load elements of the tube construction are provided with
redundancy by internal and external reinforcements. The boards have holders for oars and
there are handles in the bow and stern of the boat for attaching tug lines and mooring lines;
the handles can also be used for carrying the boat. The three-compartment floater tube has
been tested according to valid standards and has valves, sturdy fender profile and hand rails.
The tube is integrated to the rigid shell with a uniform tape adhesive system which ensures
the reliability of the floater in marine conditions. The portable seats can be readjusted to
operate the boat comfortably with one to four people on board. The boat is eager to plane,
well manoeuvrable and firmly under control even at high speed turns. The lightweight
construction combined with excellent hydrodynamic performance also result in low fuel
consumption.
The construction and manufacture of Mare R30M conforms to the standard ISO 6185-2 –
Inflatable boats (including rigid inflatable boats) with a maximum total length of less than 8
metres, a minimum buoyancy of 1,800 N and a maximum motor power rating 4.5 to 15 kW
inclusive, and to the EU Directives 94/25 and 2003/44 regarding hobby water crafts.
The Mareplast RIB boats are manufactured in several versions – with manual and remote
control (from the pulpit).
MOTOR
The default motor is Honda
9.9HP MODEL# BF10DKSH standard series, weighing 42 kg,
with manual control and starter, fuel – gasoline, cooling – seawater, mounted on 381 mm
transom. When using a motor of own choice, the boat manufacturer’s recommended power
limitations and motor weights must be respected (see the manufacturer’s plate); the motor
must also have CE marking. The operating manual of the motor must be read carefully.
CONTROL
Mare R30M does not require the qualification of a skipper for recreational craft.
Still, sufficient marine experience with all weather conditions is a must.
Also, good marine practices must be respected at all times:
•
Before leaving the shore, make sure that the weather forecast and current weather conditions
are favourable, that you are familiar with the specifics of the locale, and that the boat and its
accessories are in good state;
•
Select the clothing appropriate for the weather, and footwear appropriate for operating a
boat;
