Pinpoint Location:
Depending on the burial depth of the victim,
the pinpoint location starts earlier or later,
normally when the distance indication is
3 meters or less.
In this phase, hold
the beacon directly above the snow
surface!
Now search for the point with the
smallest
distance shown
. This value is equivalent
to the approximate burial depth.
Now use an avalanche probe to
precisely locate the victim.
The lowest distance indicated is 0.3.
At this point, all of the direction indicators
are shown.
(*) As an option, the direction indication
can be displayed till the very end of the
search. See section “Personal Settings” for
more information.
Hold the beacon

point location!
Use a probe for exact
location.
When working with
the beacon, remain calm and
concentrated.
Avoid jerky movements.
This will allow you to
complete your search in the
quickest and most reliable
way!
