BEFORE STARTING THE EQUIPMENT
Important. Always remove the battery from machine before doing any work on
the machine!
1) Charging the battery pack
a) Remove the battery pack (6) from the handle, pressing the pushlock buttons
(8) downwards to do so.
b) Check that your main voltage is the same as that marked on the rating plate
of the battery charger. Plug the main plug of the charger (7) into the main
socket outlet.
c) The temperature of the battery pack may rise slightly during the charging
operation. This is normalIf the battery pack fails to become charged, please
check
• whether there is voltage at the socket-outlet
• whether there is proper contact at the charging contacts on the charger.
If the battery still fails to become charged, please return
• the charger
• the battery pack to our Customer Service Department.To ensure that the
battery pack provides long service you should take care to recharge it
promptly.
Never fully discharge the battery pack. This will cause the battery pack to develop a
defect.
ATTENTION
Please charge the battery pack regularly, for example, once every 6 months.
Changing the Tool
Before any work on the power tool (e.g., maintenance, tool change, etc.) as well as
during transport and storage, set the rotational direction switch to the center
position. Unintentional actuation of the On/Off switch can lead to injuries.
STARTING OPERATION
1) Changing the attached tool (B4)
a) Press the quick-change button(2)
b) Put the tool into the stationary shaft(1)
c) release the quick-change button(2)
2) Bringing into use
a) Press the lock-off switch in any direction (3)
b) Press the switch to start the tool (4) Because of the cutting environment, this
tool can be speeded, push the speed control switch (5)
3) Sawing / cutting:
Use only undamaged, defect-free saw blades. Distorted, blunt or otherwise
damaged saw blades could break.
When sawing lightweight building materials, observe the statutory requirements
and the manufacturer’s recommendations. Use the device in plunge sawing mode
on soft materials such as wood, gypsum plaster board etc. only!
4) Sanding:
Ensure that you use even contact pressure. This will increase sanding sheet life.
5) Wear a dust mask!
• Always use vacuum dust extraction.
• Ensure that your working area is well ventilated.
• Observe the regulations applicable in your country for the materials you are
working on.
