BRAKE MASTER CYLINDERS

FRONT BRAKE PUMP

Empty the hydraulic circuit and drain the fluid into a con-
tainer so that it may be disposed of in compliance with
statutory environmental and waste disposal legislation.

Beware of possible spills and splashes of
brake fluid as it is highly corrosive and can
cause personal injury and damage to paint-
ed parts of the scooter.

Unscrew and remove union (A).

Remove brake fluid line (B) and gaskets (C).

Disconnect brake light switch (S).

Undo screws (V2) and remove U clamp (D).

Remove master cylinder unit (E).

To refit the master cylinder first start the lower screw
(using a long “T” handle wrench) without tightening it
and then start the upper screw, then tighten both
screws to the prescribed torque.

After assembling the brake master cylinders,
install the tube (B), interposing two new gas-
kets (C) and tighten the union (A) to the pre-
scribed torque.

NOTE

Always fill the brake circuit with new brake
fluid after refitting a master cylinder.
