Quick Installation Guide For Petroleum Sites with Mako Performing MNSP Function v2.1.1

A few points to note during installation:
1)
Technician MUST have the following tools available for the Mako installations:
a.
Laptop with functional Ethernet adapter – for accessing local MakoScope diagnostic if
needed
b.
Blank USB flash drive 1GB-32GB formatted FAT32 – for applying config file locally if
needed

All necessary and certified firewall rules and configuration have been templated and applied to the
Mako appliance’s configuration profile. IF YOU ARE UPGRADING A SITE WITH AN EXISTING
EZR, THE MAKO WILL NEED TO HAVE LAN 2 RECONFIGURED WHILE YOU ARE THERE to
avoid site outages. You will need to contact Mako Support on 844 807 0307 when you reach this
step of the upgrade process.

A local diagnostic screen (MakoScope) may be accessed by plugging a laptop into LAN3 for a
DHCP address and pointing your browser to https://1.2.3.4. This screen will provide you
information as to the status of the WAN connection, LAN connections and the last few log
messages. If you experience difficulties during installation, the Mako help desk may ask you to
access the MakoScope.
