1.  Flue Damper

The flue damper must be in the fully opened position 

(handle up toward the top of the fireplace) during op

-

eration of the fireplace.
Before lighting the fireplace, verify fully open position 

by looking up from the inside of the fireplace.

3.  Glass Doors

•  Glass doors are optional.

•  Refer to Figure 3.3 proper use.

2.  Outside Air

Refer to Figure 3.2 for location and operation of control.
The  outside  air  kit  supplies  some  combustion  air  for 

your fireplace. It may help reduce the effects of nega

-

tive  air  pressure.  Other  methods  may  be  required  if 

more air is needed.
The outside air inlet should be in the fully opened posi

-

tion during operation of the fireplace.
Close the inlet to prevent cold drafts when the fireplace 

is not being used.

 CAUTION! 

Outside air control handle may be warm. 

Adjust before lighting fire.
