Adding espresso beans
1. Remove the lid from the bean container (1) .
2. Pour whole roasted espresso beans into the bean container from above.
• The maximum fi lling quan ty should be approx. 1 cm below
the edge of the bean container.
• The minimum fi lling quan ty should not fall below 2 cm in
order to ensure that there are no dosing fl uctua ons.
3. Place the lid back onto the bean container.
4. If necessary, open the bean container by swiveling out the sliding valve
(16) (see Fig. D ).
Switching on the grinder
1. Make sure that you have inserted the power plug (18) into a properly
installed safety socket.
2. Switch on the grinder by switching the On/O ff switch (19) to “I”. The
grinder is ready for opera on as soon as the recipe last selected / the
symbol for manual grinding appear(s) on the display
(14) .
