STEP 1
Connect the smart tester
Turn the ignition ON
Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Verify if P06A2 is present?
Is P06A2 present?
Intermittent problem exists
Refer the intermittent problem
inspection procedure
Ignition OFF
Remove the AC compressor
relay
Ignition ON
Check the voltage between pin
1 of the AC compressor relay
seating (C107) and battery
ground
Is the value <4.5 V?
Suspect EMS ECU malfunction
Replace EMS ECU with a new
one.
Check and verify for any new
DTC’s
NO
YES
Examine the short to battery of
AC compressor relay control
wire from EMS ECU
Replace the wiring harness
Clear the DTC and verify
STEP 2
Ignition OFF
Ensure the compressor relay is
fixed properly in the connector
of the ECU fuse box
Remove the AC compressor
relay
Check the functioning of relay by
providing 12V to terminal 86
and ground to terminal 85
Is a clicking sound
heard?
STEP 3
Replace the AC compressor
relay with a new one
Clear the DTC and verify
