MAHINDRA GOA

Wheel Locking Hubs (Only for 4WD

vehicles)
Automatic Locking Hubs

Note

When you shift to 4WD mode,

an audible ’click’ will indicate that

automatic locking hubs are engaged

and therefore power is being

transmitted to the front wheels. While

changing back to the 2WD mode, the

hubs need to be released.

To Release the locking hubs

• Shift from 4WD to 2WD
• Reverse the vehicle in a straight line

for about a meter

• An audible ’click’ will indicate that the

hubs have been released

• Unlocking is necessarily required to be

done to isolate front axle & transfer
case from transmission & from front
wheels

Caution

If auto-lock hubs make a clattering

noise when driving in 2H mode, stop and
move the vehicle about 2 to 3 meters in
backward direction.

Note

When engaging & disengaging,

the auto-lock hubs will make a clicking

noise. It is normal.
