Safety Information about Tires
•
Check tire pressure and do a visual check of the tires for any signs of damage.
•
To avoid tire damage we recommend that test tires be used during the perfor-
mance test.
•
No vehicles should be tested which have snow tires, racing tires or retreaded
tires!
•
Pay attention that the fastest permissible speed for the tires is not exceeded!
•
Check the alignment weights on the rims to make sure they are tight before test-
ing.
•
Pay attention to tire size! No test should be done with tires under 12”!

Safety Information about the Eddy Current Brake
The eddy current brake can heat up significantly during long lasting usage. The brake rotors
may become red hot.
After a long lasting measurement under load, the eddy current brake should continue to be
rotated without load by the vehicle at a speed of approx. 50
–
80 km/h.
The rotating rotors suck cooled air from the side and throw it radially off. The eddy current
brake is thereby effectively cooled preventing heat build-up at the rotors damaging the coil
insulation.

Safety Information about Motorcycle Testing
•
Truck roller sets may not be used for motorcycle tests.
•
Tire manufacturers forbid the further use of tires on the road that have been driven on a roll-
er set for performance testing. Undetectable damage to the tire may have occurred. This ap-
plies to both apex and double rollers.

Safety Information about the Anchoring Device LPS 3000 Truck
The additional anchoring device is a supplement to the hydraulic load device on the LPS 3000
Truck. Anchoring devices are divided into two groups:
Lifting Straps
1 tension belt (50 mm width) Tensile strength 2000 kg, Length 4 m or
1 Polytex lifting strap 2-straps with ring and load hooks, ML 2 m, load capacity 2000 kg with
45…60
° inclination angle
•
Only authorized and trained personnel are allowed to use it
•
Lifting straps should be checked for damage and safety before using
•
Do not exceed permissible load capacity. Place the straps so that the load is distributed
across the entire width
•
Use only suitable anchoring positions
•
Only use undamaged lifting straps / tension belts with identifiable tension labels
•
Do not knot or twist the lifting straps and do not tie together to extend them
•
Wind the straps a min. of 1.5 times and a max.of 3 times around the ratchet.
•
Only use lifting bands with protective edges when loads have sharp edges
•
Do not put stress on the tip of or up to the bending point of fixed parts
•
Operating temperature: -
40…+100 °C
