Installation
WARNING: The inverter uses power from both AC and DC sources.
Before beginning the installation, ensure all AC power (utility/
generator) and any negative and positive battery cables are safely
disconnected from the inverter.
Refer to Figure 3 for the following steps:
1. Remove the cover of the conduit box by removing the two #10 - 1/2”
Phillips screws attaching the cover to the bottom.
2. Determine the AC and DC wiring thru the conduit box, and then remove
the appropriate knockouts and attach the corresponding strain reliefs.
3. On the inverter, remove the two #25 Torx screws that hold the inverter
cover – located on the inverter’s front side.
4. Align the conduit box with the front side of the inverter, and then place
the holding tabs located on the conduit box bottom over the screw open-
ings from the #25 Torx screws removed in Step 3.
5. Attach the conduit box to the inverter using the two #25 Torx screws
that were removed from the inverter cover in Step 3.
6. Secure the conduit box mounting fl anges – preferably to the same mount-
ing surface used for the inverter.
7. Route the AC and DC wiring through the appropriate knockouts/strain
reliefs on the conduit box, and then connect per the inverter’s installa-
tion procedure.
8. After ensuring all electrical and hardware connections are correct and
secure, attach the cover of the conduit box to the bottom of the conduit
box using the two screws removed in Step 1.
9. Apply power to the inverter and test for proper operation.
