11.3 Maintenance schedule
The maintenance plan lists all work required to ensure safe, optimum and trou-
ble-free operation of the pedestrian gate.
Interval Work Personnel
Monthly Check the pedestrian gate for damage from
the outside.
Operator
Every 6 months Check centre pillar, cage half and locking comb
for damage.
Technician
Check support beam for damage from inside
and outside. If necessary, clean support beam
and correct defect in paint work.
Technician
Check play on the floor bearing and ease of
movement. Adjust play if necessary.
Technician
Check the function of the locking. Technician
Check screwed connection on the drive flange. Technician
Check function of the external residual current
operated device
Electrical specialist
Every 12 months Check electrical lines for damage. Electrical specialist
Check if all electrical connections are firm. Electrical specialist
Check signs and labels for completeness and
legibility.

Check foundation fastening. Technician
