HELPFUL INFORMATION

SAFETY

Pump Lubrication

Always ensure that the oil level of the pump is to
the halfway mark of the oil gauge window. Do not
overfill. Use only Magikist high pressure pump oil
or equivalent non-foaming, non-detergent, 40
weight #1 compressor oil. Do

not

use automotive,

transmission, or hydraulic oils, or brake fluid.

Change crankcase oil after first 50 hours of
operation, after which change oil at regular
intervals of 500 hours or less depending on
operating conditions. Oil can be conveniently
drained via the drain cock and tube located near
the rear side of the pump crankcase.

Each plunger has an oiler that is accessible
through the plunger cover. Oil each oiler every
100 hours of use or once a week, whichever
comes first.

Water Suction Strainer

Ensure that the strainer at the end of the water
suction hose in the water reservoir has no breaks
in the screen and that it is free of particles which
might restrict flow. Never operate the pressure
washer without the strainer. Foreign material
entering the pump can easily create problems or
contribute to premature wear.

Soap Suction Strainer

Ensure that the strainer at the end of the soap
suction tube in the soap container has no breaks
in the screen and that it is free of particles which
might restrict flow. Never operate the pressure
washer without the strainer. Foreign material
entering the pump can easily create problems or
contribute to premature wear.

Using Soap

It is good practice to run the pressure washer with
soap off for approximately two minutes at the end
of the day’s washing. This helps to remove any
soap from the pump which might otherwise
deposit on the valve seats.

Acids, Alkalies, or Abrasive Fluids

Consult factory before using any of these fluids in
the soap reservoir.

Freezing Conditions

The pressure washer must be protected from
freezing conditions. If the washer is to be exposed
to freezing conditions, the pump must be well
drained. Alternately, anti-freeze of sufficient
strength to avoid freezing can be run through the
pump. In addition the soap container and all hoses
and accessories should be well drained to avoid
damage from freezing conditions.

Your pressure washer was designed and constructed
with safety foremost. When using the washer it is best
to observe the following precautions:

• Always hold the gun and extension firmly in both

hands during operation.

• Always keep high pressure spray away from people

and electrical apparatus and wiring.

• Always keep clear of moving belts and pulleys.

• Never disconnect high pressure hose during

operation.
