62 | Chapter 6 - Fire and Panic Alarms

Panic Alarms

Your system can be programmed to send an alarm to your monitoring station, requesting help from the
police, a medical facility, the fire department, or anyone you wish when you press a pre-determined
combination of keys on MG6250’s main keypad.

To generate a panic alarm:

Press the

OFF

key.

Press and hold the appropriate panic key for 2 seconds. Your installer can program the alarm to be either
silent or audible.

NOTE:

Programming your system to send an alarm to your central monitoring station, requesting help from a

medical facility, is not permitted in UL installations.
