Compressed air system
The compressor sucks air through the suction line of the motor
and compresses it. The compressed air produced is stored in
the compressed air tanks. The pressure regulator limits the
system pressure to approx. 8 bar.
The following components are powered by the MT's com-
pressed air system:
z
brake system
z release of the fifth wheel coupling
z
speed regulation of the diesel motor
z air suspension of the rear axle

Carry out a visual inspection of the compressor. Check for
leaks.

Check the compressed air line, suction line, and the connec-
tors for leaks. Look for fractures, nicks, and deformations.

Loosen the hose clamps on the compressor side and the
suction side

Remove the suction line.
X Check the inside of the hose for damage and contractions.
X
Replace the suction line in case of damage.
X Reinstall the suction line.
X
Fasten the suction line with the hose clamps 1 .
