Operation Example: The driver should check the settings in the cluster of his vehicle
as this is just an example.
DSL = 93.3 km (58mph)
STSL = 120 km (75mph)
Exp Mileage = 804672 km (500000 miles)
Allowed Time Per Day = 50 minutes
At the start of the soft top operation, let’s say there are 20 minutes of soft top
operation accumulated in the soft top bank. If the vehicle is back in normal operation
after 10 minutes, there will be 10 minutes left in the soft top bank. After an hour
of operation the bank of minutes is increased by 5 more minutes and the Available
Time value changes to 15. If in this example initial Available Time had been 4
minutes, the resulting time after completion would be -6. Operation above DSL
would not be possible until after two more hours of operation (5+5 minutes added).
Vehicle Speed Limits (VSL) Manual Soft Top cannot be disabled until the vehicle
mileage reaches 804672 km (500000 miles).
Vehicle Speed Limiter
The Vehicle speed limiter data has been split into 3 screens. Up/down keys on stalk
switch are used for navigation through the screens.
The following parameters defining this function are all visible in the cluster:

Soft Top Speed Limit, the soft top operation speed limit
•
Default Speed Limit, the normal operation speed limit
•
Allowed Time Per Day, the soft top operation time allowed per 10 hour normal
operation. Time is accumulated hourly
•
Expiration Mileage, the vehicle mileage after which this function is deactivated
•
Available Time, the current bank of minutes available for operation in speeds
above DSL
•
Lifetime Spent In Soft Top Mode, for the legal agencies to verify that the maximum
allowed time in soft top has not been exceeded
