Checking Oil Level in Hydraulic Reservoir

Figure 6.9: Oil Level Sight Glass

Check the oil level using the lower sight (A) and the
upper sight (B) with the cutterbar just touching the
ground and with center-link retracted.

NOTE:

Check the level when the oil is cold.

Ensure the oil is at the appropriate level for the terrain
as follows:

•

Hilly terrain:

Maintain level so lower sight (A) is full,

and upper sight (B) is up to one-half filled.

•

Normal terrain:

Maintain level so lower sight (A) is

full, and upper sight (B) is empty.
