Pg 44

The mechanics of the MAC155 Probe are primarily devoted to pumping a

sample gas or a reference gas to the moisture sensor. To locate problems with

this type of equipment requires the use of a sensitive differential pressure gauge

or an electronic manometer. A liquid filled manometer must not be used

because of the danger of sucking the liquid out of the manometer and causing

damage to the MAC155 Probe. The differential pressure measuring device

should have a full scale range b/- 0.5 / 3.4 kP and +/- 3 psi / 20 kP, with

an allowable maximum pressure of 15 psi / 100 kP. A kit containing tubing

fittings and tubing is included with the MAC155 Probe to facilitate connections of

the test gauge to the MAC155 Probe.

NOT

use a liquid filled manometer when testing differential

pressures in the MAC155 Probe. There is danger of sucking the
liquid into the MAC155 Probe and causing damage.

Troubleshooting the electrical components of the MAC155 Probe requires the

use of a multi-meter that can measure DC voltages up to +/- 30V and AC

voltages up to 300V. The multi-meter must also be capable of reading

resistance values between zero and 10 ohms.
