Assembly Instructions
The VC Panning mixer has no particular requirements not already covered in the ‘General
Guidance on a M²Synth Module Assembly’ booklet included with this kit except for the VU
meter mounting.
The VU meters are fixed to the main PCB using two differing thicknesses of foam pads.
An outline of the VU meters is shown on the PCB and it is important that the meters are
aligned when sticking to the PCB otherwise they will not fit into the panel correctly when
assembling. The circular adhesive pads fit under the lower edge of the VU meters. The
thicker strip pads are cut to suit and spaced to avoid clashes with the solder connections.
We suggest attaching the adhesive pads to the PCB first and then bringing the VU meters
down into position.
The VU meter LEDs polarity is not identified on earlier revisions of the PCB so this photo
shows their orientation by looking at their internal construction.
