This device is only and aid to navigation. Its performance can be

for such prudence and judgement. Your MT-500 VHF radio gener-
ates and radiates radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic energy (EME).
This equipment must be installed and operated in accordance with
the instructions contained in this handbook. Failure to do so can
result in personal injury and/or product malfunction.
Antenna Mounting and EME Exposure
For optimal radio performance and minimal human exposure to ra-
dio frequency electromagnetic energy, make sure the antenna is:
• Connected to the radio before transmitting
• Properly mounted
• Located where it will be away from people
• Located at least three feet (91 cm) from the Base Station trans-
ceiver and handsets.
