3. GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
The appliance must be connected to the fl ue pipe and tested be-
fore the material is cemented in. In order to ensure that the ap-
pliance functions optimally, one must insulate the hot air ducts
completely, comply with the minimum of the diameter measu-
rements for the hot air ducts and hot air vents and the chimney
must be adjusted. Do not put any infl ammable materials in the
immediate vicinity of the stove.
Note: If you leave the door open, li� le burning pieces of wood
may be projected onto the fl oor.
Insulating materials: it is preferable to use “high temperature”
materials.
It is strongly advisable to position the chimney and to connect
the stove in such a way that no humidity or water can enter the
stove. Humidity and water are the greatest enemies of the Cha-
motfl ex in the appliance because it can swell and burst after the
fi re has been lit.
3.1 MAINTENANCE
• Besides regularly cleaning the window, you must have your
chimney swept at least once a year for optimal functioning of the
Venus. (Not only is this a legal requirement, but it is also meant
for your own safety.)
• A fi re brick (Chamo� e) can still work
perfectly, even if it is cracked, but if pieces are missing
the brick must be replaced to eff ectively protect the
combustion chamber.
• Remove the remainder of the ash in time, take
the ash pan ( fi g 9 ) and remove a great part of the
ashes from the Luna. Note: Never remove all the ashes
because a fi re always burns be� er with its own ashes.
Cleaning the window:
• Open the window (Fig. 10)
• We advise you to use M-design’s “Bio-Clean”
to clean the window, which is available from your
supplier. It is one of the few products that do not harm the lac-
quer (fi g.11).
3. ALLGEMEINE EMPFEHLUNGEN
Bevor Sie das Gerät abmauern, muss das Gerät am Abgaskanal
angeschlossen und getestet werden. Für eine optimale Fertigstel-
lung sollten der Heizeinsa� und die Warmluftkanäle komple�
isoliert werden. Der minimale Lufteingangs- und Ausgangsdur-
chmesser sollte eingehalten werden und dem Schornstein entsp-
rechend angepasst sein. Stellen sie keine brennbaren Materialien
in die Nähe des Kamins.
Hinweis: Beim Brennen mit off ener Türe, können Funken auf
den Boden gelangen.
Isolierung: verwenden sie vorzugsweise feuerfeste Materialien.
Installieren sie den Kaminsims so, dass weder Wasser noch
Feuchtigkeit in den Kamin gelangen kann.
Durch Feuchtigkeit und Wasser kann die Chamotfl ex- Pla� e im
Kamin, beim En� ünden des Feuers anschwellen und reißen.
3.1 WARTUNG UND PFLEGE
• Reinigen Sie regelmäßig die Scheiben.
Lassen Sie Ihren Schornstein 1x Jährlich reinigen (Hierzu sind Sie
gese� lich verpfl ichtet und es trägt zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit
bei)
• Auch ein gerissener feuerfester Stein (Chamo� e) funktioniert
einwandfrei. Wenn Teile aus dem Stein gebrochen sind sollte der
Stein erse� t werden, damit die Heizkammer nicht beschädigt
wird.
• Entfernen Sie regelmäßig übermäßige Asche. Hinweis: entfer-
nen Sie nie die gesamte Asche, denn Feuer brennt am besten auf
eigener Asche (fi g. 9 ).
Das Reinigen der Scheiben:
• Öff nen sie die Türe (fi g. 10)
• Zum Reinigen der Scheibe, empfehlen wir Ihnen „Bio-Clean“
von M-design (fi g 11 ) . Dieses Reinigungsmi� el greift die
Oberfl äche nicht an und ist bei Ihrem Lieferanten erhältlich.
