settings and click the OK box to save the changes. The changes take effect immediately.

and click the OK box to save the changes. The changes take effect immediately. The default is 
High Contrast White for monochrome displays and Windows Standard for color displays. 

Note:  The color screens display Windows standard colors (or the color scheme selected)  

instead of shades of grey.

To save battery life, you can adjust when the display automatically
shuts off.

Automatically turn off backlight  while on battery power.
