– Observe the specifications on the cutting
height unit.
Setting the steering bar
– Rotate the fixing screw (A) by 90 degrees.
– Set the steering bar (1) to the required
height (pay attention to the fixing holes).
– Rotate the fixing screw (A) back by 90
degrees (the pin must engage in the fixing
holes).
Filling with motor oil
– Unscrew and remove the motor oil filling
screw (5).
– Fill the device with motor oil (do not spill!)
– Measure the oil level using the scale on
the motor oil filling screw (5).
– Observe maximum filling level.
Starting the motor
Starting the motor
– Bring the gas handle (17) to the upper
position.
– Activate the switch on bar (2).
– Slowly pull out the starter cord (13) until
the starter clicks into place, then pull
forcefully.
– You may need to pull the cord a number
of times before the motor starts.
Switch off the motor
– Bring the gas handle (17) to the lower
position.

Fold in upper steering bar
– Release quick-release (3) on both sides
(A)
– Release knurled screw with two to three
turns. (B)
– Carefully fold upper steering bar in the
direction of the lawnmower motor.
Automatic motion
– Activate the push bar (16) with the unit in
operation
• The unit starts to move
• The unit will stop when the push bar (16)
is no longer activated.
Catchment bag full
If air flap (22) on catchment bag (14) is closed
during operation:
– Empty catchment bag (14).
Tips for mulching
Mulching uses the cut grass as a natural fer-
tiliser. When mulching, the grass is cut,
shredded into small pieces and distributed
across the lawn in a single process
Mounting the mulching wedge
– Remove the collection bag.
– Insert the mulching wedge (18) into the
opening (A) of the unit until it engages.
– Lower the protective flap (B).
• Normal cutting back to a height of a max-
imum of 2 cm.
• Maximum grass height of 4 cm to 6 cm
should not be exceeded or undercut.
• Use a sharp blade.
• Do not mulch damp grass.
• Guide the unit at an even, slow pace
(walking speed) and with as straight a
path as possible.
• Always work at right angles to the slope.
• Use overlapping paths to produce an
even cutting pattern.
• Regularly clean the mulching wedge,
ejection duct and cutting blade.
Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER! Risk to life!
The device
may catch fire as a result of spilt fuel.
• Before starting, ensure that any
spilt fuel is carefully removed.
• Start the device at least nine
metres from the point at which it
was filled.
WARNING! Risk of injury!
–If the
cutters are blocked by a foreign
body, immediately release the
switch on bar (2).
– If a foreign body is caught by the
mower, check the unit and have it
repaired if need be.
DANGER! Risk to life!
Prior to con-
ducting maintenance or cleaning:
– Switch-off the device.
– Close the fuel cock.
– Switch off the ignition switch.
– Allow for the device to cool down.
