4.4. RIP FENCE ADJUSTMENT
The rip fence can be
fi
t into two positions :
A - for cutting large pieces
B - to cut low and narrow pieces Loosen the handles C in order to place the
fence in the above mentioned positions.
To increase or decrease the distance between the fence and the saw blade oper-
ate as indicated below:
– release the lever F and the knob D;
– manually slide the fence unit N with reference to the metric ruler E. Carry
out the micrometric adjustment proceeding as follows:
– lock the knob D;
– operate the knob G to adjust the fence micrometrically;
– tighten the lever F when the adjustment has been made.
Fence alignment 1
Align the fence assembly in or out until parallel with the side of the blade by
turning the adjustment nuts and the fence bolts accordingly. If the
fi
xing nuts
have been tightened, these will need slackening off before this adjustment
can be made.
Fence alignment 2
Check that the fence is at 90º to the table using a suitable square. If no adjust-
ment is needed fully tighten the fence bar nuts. If adjustment is required this
is achieved by raising or lowering either side of the fence rail until the fence
itself is 90º to the table. Once set at 90º fully tighten all
fi
xings.

5. Operating Procedures
5.1. CONTROL PANEL
The electric board consist of the following device:
5.1.1 Control functions
A - ON/OFF switch
It connects and disconnects input power.
O - the machine is not powered;
I - the machine is powered.
B - Stop button.
When the button is pressed, the power is immediately cut. It is a mechanically-
operated push-button. Reset this button by turning it clockwise.
5.1.2 Machine start
– Turn the switch A to position I
5.1.3 Machine stop
– Press the B button.
– Turn the switch A to position O
