Position the Upper Housing, aligning its two Notched
Areas, the Six Screw Holes and the Reverse Switch
Hole onto the Upper Motor Housing Flange (Figure 4) .

Place the Upper Housing Plate so that the two Notched
Areas align with the two Studs on the Motor Coupler .
Aligning the six Screw Holes of the Upper Housing
Plate onto the Upper Housing .
Securely attach the Upper Housing Plate to the Upper
Housing by using the six #8-32 x 1/2” Pan Head
Screws with Lockwashers (supplied) (Figure 5) .

Remove the Hanger Ball by loosening the Set Screw
in the Hanger Ball until the Ball falls freely down the
Downrod (Figure 6) .
Remove the Pin from the Downrod, then remove the
Hanger Ball .
Retain the Pin and Hanger Ball for reinstallation in
Step 3 .12 .
NOTE: Do not loosen the Screw holding the Green
Ground Wire.
