WIRING / CONNECTION:
IMPORTANT:
•
If buried or laid on muddy surface, cable should be placed inside conduit or piping to protect from water-logging, damage
and chemicals found in soil. If this method is not used, cable warranty may be void. Cables can also be hooked up on fences
safely, however protective sleeving is still recommended.
•
It is recommended that the number of fittings on each circuit are kept to a minimum, fittings are positioned as evenly as
possible around a circuit and each run kept as short as possible to prevent voltage drop. For longer cable runs, thicker cable
(1.5mm or 2.5mm) may be required.
•
Ensure the transformer has plenty of air circulation to avoid overheating.
1.
Decide on the positioning of the fitting & transformer. See below for
mounting installation.
2.
Connect the male 2 pin plug of the fitting to the transformer / splitter by
pushing into the female socket.
NOTE: A small rubber o-ring must be present
in the external groove of the male plug.
3.
Secure the VERSA 2 pin plug in place with the
threaded cap.
4.
Ensure all connections are secure.
5.
Connect the transformer to the mains supply.
6.
Once fully installed, turn on the mains power.
MOUNTING:
1.
Drill out 56mm diameter installation hole in the desired location (see diagram). Allow
for at least 90mm depth for the hole to accommodate the length of the fitting.
2.
Drill out a 60mm diameter at a depth of 10mm to accommodate the rim. This will
prevent the fitting dropping through the hole when the bezel is removed to change
the lamp.
3.
If mounting in a wall, secure the plastic sleeving in place with waterproof glue / sealant
around the underside of the rim and allow to dry.
If mounting in the ground, permanently fixing the fitting in place is not essential
(dependant on installation location). However, if desired the above process can be
applied for added security.
LAMP INSTALLATION / REPLACEMENT:
1.
Remove the front bezel by unscrewing the 3 x screws.
2.
Insert the MR11 into the floating bulb holder with a pushing action
–
ensure the bulb
is fully inserted and secure.
3.
Push the bulb down into the fitting and place the lens in position with the protrusion
of glass facing outwards.
4.
Replace the front bezel and secure with the 4 x screws. Do not overtighten or this
could damage the outer shell.
Tip: If there is damage around the predrilled holes, simply drill new holes in a slightly different
location to ensure base.
IMPORTANT:
The front of the lens must sit flush with the front of the bezel. If it sits backwards turn the lens
over to ensure fully watertight seal.
