Maintenance and Service

Before any work on the machine
itself, ensure the mains plug has
been removed the socket.
For safe and proper working of the
tool, always keep the machine and
any ventilation slots clear and clean
from any dust or contaminants.
Cleaning

‐ Keep the machine clean at all times. Some
maintenance products and solvents may
damage the plastic parts; these include
products containing Benzene, Tri‐choro‐acetyl
Chloride and Ammonia.
‐ Never use any caustic agents to clean the
plastic parts.

Changing the Blade

‐ Raise the blade to its highest position, and
then remove the blade guard, throat plate and
riving knife. Making sure bevel lock is on
(Pushed to the left)
‐ Place a blade wrench on each nut either side
of the blade as shown below. Then bring the
large blade wrench forward to the smaller one
whilst holding the smaller one in place.

‐ Remove the Nut, Washer and blade.
‐ Before replacing the blade with a new one
make sure to clean the washer and arbor shaft,
this will ensure a correct seating of the new
blade.

‐ Reverse the above process to install the new
blade. Please note the teeth must point down
toward the front of the machine.

‐ Please rotate the blade by hand before starting
the machine to check that it wheels freely with
nothing stopping it from turning.

Aligning the Rip Fence

‐ Raise the blade to its highest setting and set
the bevel to 90 degrees.
‐ Place a set square to the blade at one end then
bring the rip fence up to it, and note the
dimension on the scale. Repeat this with the set
square set to the other end of the blade.

‐ If these do not match set the fence using the
two screws shown above.
